The power of intention and how it can have a positive impact on your life
In this video, I talk about the power of intention and how it can improve our lives.
What exactly is intention?
It is where we set our energy to direct ourselves towards something or a situation that we want in our life.
What that means is that we have the power to choose the direction that our lives take.
When we set intentions in how we go about our day and our lives, it can have a positive impact on us and the way that things affect us.
This means that it will also affect our overall wellbeing.
When we understand and realize, that it is us who is creating, it makes us more conscious of our choices.
Defining ourselves as creators gives us unlimited outcomes.
It makes us consciously more aware of what we say, think and do.
It shifts the responsibility towards us.
No longer are we able to sit on the sidelines and say, “It’s not my fault.”
Because, what we do or not do is a choice. And the choices rest with us.
We can’t control all situations, but we can control how that is going to affect us.
Moreover, we can’t control what others do.
What we can control is ourselves.
For example, image that you are stuck in a traffic jam.
Are you going to blow a fuse, getting really angry, or are you going to accept it as one of those things that just is?
Which is the better outcome for you?
You may get brief satisfaction from getting upset, but really, it is not going to change the situation and it will only aggravate you.
Setting intentions, helps us to move forward in our lives. We can see how we are making progress and even where we are not.
This means that we can adjust or adapt what we are doing to create the life that we really want to live, which is important for our long term success and happiness.
When we change our mindset and consciously become aware of the power of intention and what that brings to us, we change our lives for the better.
When we improve our state of mind, we reduce the amount of stress in our bodies and this leads to an overall improvement in our wellbeing.
Meditation can help us reduce stress but also give us clarity on where it is that we want to be and with that, we are able to set effective intentions.
