Do you ever have regrets about the things that you should or shouldn’t have done?

If you had your chance to life your life over, what would you do differently?

 

In this video, I talk about regrets and how we can live our life without regrets .

 

Bronnie Ware was a carer and as part of her work, she encountered people in the final stages of their life.

This became the basis of her book, The 5 Regrets of the Dying.

What she discovered was that the following were the 5 regrets that most people had:

  1. Live life true to myself, not what others expect of me
  2. I shouldn’t have worked so hard
  3. Have the courage to express my feelings
  4. Stayed in touch with friends
  5. Let myself be happier.

 

People have plenty of other regrets, but the challenge is not to come to your last breath having wished that you would have, could have or should have done things differently.

We have the ability to live a life filled with the things that are important to us.

 

What is it that you would like to accomplish in your life? What is your legacy going to be?

As a business coach, I ask my clients to identify what those things are.  As an expert speaker, my audience has the opportunity to consider what that means to them.

You see, the time that we have in living this life is finite.

Do you ever have a moment when you feel that life is going by sooooo fast.

Have you ever felt as if you would like to put your life on pause, just so that you can catch your breath?

We definitely live in a world where there is a lot going on at any given time.

 

With that in mind, here are some tips that you can use to ensure that you get more of the things done that matter to you.

Take a moment now to imagine all of the things that you would like to do in your life. Make a list. Put that list somewhere where you can see it on a regular basis. Add to it as you find more things that you would like to achieve.

Now go out and do those things. Make sure that they don’t just stay on a list.

And all of sudden, you will find that your life will be filled spending your time on the things that matter to you and one day, when it does get to be near the end of your life, hopefully you won’t have regrets about the things that you didn’t do.
